Sweet Italian

  • Peppers are long, dark red, with a taper at the end
  • Peppers are green and ripen to a deep red. Once ripened the flesh is sweet
  • Excellent frying or stuffing pepper

Planting/Harvesting Notes

  • Plant once all chance of frost has passed
  • Space plants 12-18 inches apart in a location that gets at least 8 hours of sun daily
  • Matures in 70-80 days

Seed Saving

To save seed, allow the pepper to turn red on the plant, then harvest, cut the pepper, scrape out the seeds and dry on a flat surface such as a screen, paper plate or baking sheet. Allow to dry for 1-2 weeks and then store in a paper envelope.
