This pepper is a cross between Bhut Jolokia (ghost pepper) and Pimenta de Neyde. The peppers start out purple with green stripes and ripen to a cream, light pink, and light purple color. The average Scoville Heat Units (SHU) for this pepper is 200,000-350,000 SHU! For reference, a jalapeno pepper has about 8,000 SHU. These peppers have a lot of heat and a fruity aroma. These plants have beautiful dark leaves and are prolific producers.
