These hybrid pepper plants produce chili peppers that are five times hotter than a jalapeno pepper. These are a hybrid between a Thai and a cayenne pepper and the plants produce a great number of 1-2 inch peppers that mature to a beautiful red color. This pepper is between 30,000-50,000 SCU.

Seed Saving
while you can save seed from a hybrid plant, the seed saved from hybrids will not come back true to the parent plant. In this case, the plant’s fruit may look like a Thai chili or a cayenne chili, but it will not taste exactly like a dragon cayenne. You can still save seed if oyu like to do experimentation or don’t care if you get the exact same peppers by following the directions below.
To save seed, allow the pepper to turn red on the plant, then harvest, cut the pepper, scrape out the seeds and dry on a flat surface such as a screen, paper plate or baking sheet. Allow to dry for 1-2 weeks and then store in a paper envelope.
