This pepper is popular throughout Puerto Rico, Latin America, and the Caribbean for its sweet, smoky flavor. This pepper tastes like a habanero without the heat and is used in Puerto Rican sofrito, salsas, salads or just roasted. Can be used green for more pronounced flavor or red for more subtle flavor.
