Even though cats are obligate carnivores, some cats will still munch on plants. Cat grass is a mixture of wheat, barley, oats, or rye. It’s not the same as the turf grass the grows in your yard. Cat grass is typically grown indoors for indoor cats to enjoy. It can be used to lure your cat away from more dangerous or delicate plants you may have. Cats don’t just eat grass/plants when they are sick, they also eat it to help move their digestive system along. The grass can also provide entertainment for your kitty! Some cats just like to roll in it.
Planting/Harvesting Notes
