This heirloom variety has been used for its mild flavor and easy growing to flavor soups, salads, pastas, stews, and stirfrys.
Planting/Harvesting Notes
- Select a sunny, well drained spot in the garden
- Transplant starts in groups of four
- Gently hold the tops while shoving the roots into a small hole in the soil made with a pencil or your finger
- Cover with soil immediately and water well
- Onions are ready for harvest as soon as they reach an appropriate size.
