Winter savory is a semi-woody, herbaceous, perennial herb. It is a cousin to summer savory, an annual herb. This herb is a member of the mint family that overwinters beautifully in zones 6-9 so it should survive our Ohio winters just fine! This herb has an earthy, piney, peppery flavor. The predominant flavor we have experienced is peppery. It will certainly make a nice addition to your spice cabinet.
Planting/Harvesting Notes
