Lemon balm is a member of the mint family. It has a strong lemon mint flavor. It can be dried for teas and it can be used fresh to make your favorite dish more lemony.
Planting/Harvesting Notes
- Plant after all chance of frost has passed
- Plant in an area with well drained soil and 6-8 hours of sun.
- Harvesting leaves often to control the size of this plant. This will spread agressively if left to grow unchecked. Plant in a pot if you would like to control the size.
- Can companion plant with tomatoes, cabbage, strawberries and squash, helping to reduce tomato hornworm and cabbage worm damage
