Early Jersey Wakefield Cabbage

This early variety of cabbage was first brought to the US in 1840. This variety can be eaten fresh our used to make sauerkraut. The plant produces a solid, tight, conical cabbage that measures 15 inches long by 7 inches wide.

Planting/Harvesting Notes

  • Transplant 24-36 inches apart
  • Take care with the fragile root system while transplanting
  • Crop is mature in 60-75 days
  • Plant in full sun and well draining soil
